For almost twenty years, I have sat with people at the exact point where the body stops cooperating with the story the mind is telling.

An illness that won't resolve. A pattern that repeats no matter how well it's understood. A tightness, a fatigue, a flare up that arrives with emotional distress or from the roots of a memory buried deep within. This is where my real specialist interest lives; the metaphysical roots of dis-ease, the way unexpressed grief, fear, or self-abandonment doesn't just sit in the mind, it lodges in tissue, in hormones, in the nervous system itself. I have spent my career learning to read that language, and to help the body finally heal from the dis-ease and discomfort within

My clients are largely creatives, sensitive souls, and women in leadership; people whose nervous systems are exquisitely attuned, and who have often spent years managing everyone else's regulation before their own. The Science of Tapping

Emotional Freedom Technique works with the body, not around it, and its mechanism is now well documented in clinical literature.

When a threat, real or remembered, activates the amygdala, the brain's alarm center, the body responds before conscious thought catches up; cortisol floods the system, the HPA axis fires (hypothalamic, pituitary, adrenal ), and you are in fight, flight, or freeze. This is useful in a genuine emergency. It is exhausting as a permanent state of being.

Tapping has the power to quickly move you out of the stress response and calm the nervous system by simply tapping on specific accupressure points whilst focusing on the problem. Cortisol reduction drops by up to 24% creating a calming response in the body and mind bringing you out of the sympathetic nervous system back into the parasympathetic where calm is your natural state of being. When dealing with trauma or traumatic memory, the emotional charge is reduced and updated whilst the factual memory stays the same.

This is why tapping can shift something in minutes that talking alone might circle for months. It isn't instead of the mind. It's underneath it, working with the nervous system directly, in language the body already speaks.

Every client is different, so every session starts with listening to the wisdom of the body. From there we work with whatever is present: anxiety, chronic patterns, grief, the disquiet of a life that looks right but doesn't feel right, or a physical symptom that has resisted every other explanation.

Sessions can stand alone or run alongside deeper therapeutic work, whichever your nervous system is asking for.
